Welcome to the Fishguard Trains Petition!

- Petition Closed -

The purpose of this petition is to make rural North Pembrokeshire better connected. If Fishguard Harbour station had a regular daily service to Carmarthen, this could allow easier access to and from towns and villages in North Pembrokeshire such as Newport, Moylegrove, Dinas Cross, Llanychaer, etc. to Haverfordwest (changing at Clarbeston Rd. or Whitland), Swansea, Cardiff and beyond. This is something in which we believe and would make regular use and we are sure others would too. This service would also open up North Pembrokeshire, a region that relies heavily on tourism, to holiday makers and day trippers. Tourists, or even residents who have friends and family visiting from across the border would be able to arrive directly at Fishguard. Currently there is only one train per day, and one in the middle of the night, service #1 at 13.27 daily to meet with the Stena Line Superferry from Rosslare and service #2 at 01.27 meeting Stena Superferry once again and currently no provision for passengers arriving on the Stena Line Fast Cat.

Copies will be sent to Arriva Trains Wales, National Rail, Welsh Assembly Government and local MP's.

Thank you.
